The Making of REMOTE

After years of writing and directing proof-of-concepts and short films, I found myself wanting more. More time on set, more time behind the camera, and more time with actors. I wanted to take more risks and tell bigger stories.

So in early 2024 I started writing a script for an idea I’d had since 2022. A story I knew would be impossible to fit into a short film and one that I had never really stop thinking about.

What I thought would only take a few months ended up taking a little over two years. During the writing process I scouted locations, demoed ideas for score, screen tested practical VFX, and mercilessly poked at every plot hole that I could find.

It’s September 6, 2026 and the script was finished about a month ago. Since then Kirsten and I have met with our main cast and are officially moving into what I call pre-production. The next two months are going to be a whirlwind and since I’m not really one for being in front of the camera, I decided that the best way to document would be in the form of a blog.

I've spent the last four years thinking about this movie and now it’s time to bring it to the screen.

This is The Making of REMOTE. ✌🏻
